The United States offers three major intakes for international students. Choose the one that best suits your academic plans and application timeline.
The primary intake with the largest number of universities, programs, scholarships, assistantships, and internship opportunities. Most international students prefer this intake.
Ideal for students who miss the Fall intake. Many universities offer excellent undergraduate and postgraduate programs with scholarship opportunities.
Available at selected universities with limited programs. Suitable for certificate, diploma, and specialized courses with flexible admission options.
The USA offers excellent opportunities for international students to gain practical work experience after graduation through Optional Practical Training (OPT). STEM graduates may also qualify for an extended OPT period.
A Bachelor's degree in the USA generally takes four years to complete. International students are usually eligible for up to 12 months of Optional Practical Training (OPT). STEM graduates may qualify for an additional 24-month STEM OPT extension.
Master's programs in the USA generally require one to two years of study. Graduates are eligible for up to 12 months of OPT after graduation. Students completing eligible STEM master's programs may receive a 24-month OPT extension.
Certificate and diploma programs typically range from six months to two years depending on the institution and specialization. OPT eligibility depends on the program level and whether it qualifies under F-1 student visa regulations.
